EW Birthplace

This is a view of the chimney in the center of the attic taken from the access panel on the front porch above and to the left of the front door. The staining from the salts and creosote leeching on the bricks is a result of faulty flashing at the roof ridge near the chimney. The white fiber at the bottom of the image is insulation. On the far left of the image the ventilation panel that has been covered with a piece of cardboard can easily be seen. Masonite siding covers the panel on the outside directly above the back porch.
