EW Birthplace and Garden
The Waymon Garden restoration began in earnest in early March with the planting of lettuce, cabbage, onions, and potatoes. Planning for this working garden began the week of Carrol Waymon's visit as he described the vegetables his father always grew. Restoring the garden is an important part of understanding the context of the Birthplace and the role the property played in the community in 1933.
