A perfect match for the damaged and missing siding on the Eunice Waymon Birthplace was found at a local circa 1920's church that is being dismantled and salvaged in Lynn, NC by Phillip Price and Asheville Architectural Salvage. The church is about two miles from the Birthplace and we purchased 1200 lft. of reclaimed heartpine weatherboard siding and 2000 lft. of 3 1/4 " 3/8 yellow pine tongue and groove beadboard to replace the damaged west wall and sections in the bedroom and kitchen. The material is more than enough to complete the exterior siding repair and replacement. There is a certain satisfaction in reclaiming the old lumber from a building that would have been constructed at the same time as the Birthplace.
